Ateksis delivered the setup of professional audio, light, video and live broadcast infrastructure systems in the city of Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan as a part of the project "Awaza Convention Center" for which Polimeks İnşaat with a background of many prestigious projects across the globe served as the main contractor.

Having previously delivered major projects such as 211 meter-long Ashkhabad Television Tower made into the Guinness World Records, and Ashkhabad Concert and Theater Hall, Polimeks ran another imposing project in Turkmenbashi. The project features 7720 m² of indoors on a land of 130.000 square meters. The 9-floor project boasts a 2000-seated multi-purpose hall, a 500-seated convention hall, and meeting halls with a capacity of 122, 103 and 80 seats respectively. In addition, 450-seated and 250-seated banquet halls, 150-seated press hall, 60-seated assembly hall, 17-seated meeting hall for heads of government, a ceremonial hall, and bilateral exchange halls for government officials and a VIP movie theater serve as complementary halls as a part of the complex.
The prestigious convention center spares a private study and recreation rooms dedicated to the President of Turkmenistan and guest heads of governments. 750 square-meter stage, 65 square-meter portable orchestral platform and 800-seated balcony and 2000-seated multi-purpose hall are all designed to meet technical requirements of many events ranging from multinational conventions and large-scale concerts to theater and opera plays. Professional speaker, lighting and A/V video systems, live broadcast infrastructure systems, conference and simultaneous interpretation systems were all supplied, mounted, integrated and put into operation by Ateksis.
2000-seated convention hall is equipped with systems that serve the abovementioned purposes, with top-notch products by leading brands. The audio system features more than 100 cabin-type speakers and 68 amplifier channels. 192-channel digital audio mixers are deployed in communication with the fiber optic infrastructure to serve for the stage and the control room. The professional lighting system of the stage is designed in a flexible and multi-layer setup, and capable of adorning any event with mesmerizing effects. The system boasts 80 moving wash and spot lights along with more than two hundred regular lights to capture thorough lighting effects. The system features a 288-channel digital dimmer unit. The system control is backed up by a light control desk as well as a software installed on the computer.
The hall is equipped with a LED wall screen with 6 mm pixel pitch in the size of 15 m. x 8.5 m. situated within the stage as an imaging system. This screen is suspended by an engine-based mechanism in line with the multi-purpose and moving characteristics of the stage. Weighing more than eight tons, the screen is mounted in a way to be hidden in a soffit cavity with six sets of two-ton engines. Conference and interpretation systems are designed in a way to host international events. Organized in the aftermath of the launch of the premises, a charge d'affaires meeting attended by envoys of various countries saw the broadcast of all speeches in 6 languages for 2000 participants, attracting a major appreciation. 500-seated convention hall, which is the second largest one across the complex, boasts a multimedia setup compatible with international events. In line with the architectural projects and in consideration of reflective characteristics of materials inside the hall, acoustic simulation projects are adopted for the sound system, with speakers placed and set in accordance with the projects.
The sound system boasts 2 sets of 4-line array speakers on the right and left sides of the stage, and 2 auxiliary sub-woofers and 4 monitor speakers to offer impeccable sound quality. The digital network processing and amplification system offer a total of 110 dB in volume. The lighting system of the stage is powered by 12 LED spotlights downstage and 8 LED spotlights on the stage based on the size of the stage. The system is run by a computer in the control room or by IPAD to offer convenience for users to be mobile.
In addition, the general lighting setup of the hall is integrated with the overall system, offering a capability to create various groups of scenario in line with needs of users. The video system allows for any presentation and movie to be displayed at a distance of 30 meters thanks to a curtain that is more than 25 square meters in size. The hall is equipped with broadcast capability in 6 languages. Interpreters are able to view images of speakers on a screen in front of them thanks to HD Conference cameras inside the hall as they interpret, and each language interpreted through interpretation booths is transmitted to wireless interpretation headsets running on RF technology to offer an uninterrupted audio quality for the audience. Situated on the 3rd floor of the premises, 122-seated, 103-seated and 80-seated convention halls are designed to respond to needs for small-scale meetings and seminars. The speaker system features 2-way speakers that are considered to be compatible with the audio quality and the architectural style. In line with needs established, wireless microphones and digital conference units offer an uninterrupted sound quality, getting the thumbs up.
The video system relies on convenient projection devices in consideration of the size of halls and extent of lighting. It is designed in a way to host small-scale meetings and seminars, relying on an engine-driven curtain that fits for the size of the hall. Also known as the elliptical hall, 17-seated convention hall dedicated for heads of government, one of the most spectacular halls in the complex, is equipped with custom-made golden built-in conference units and engine-driven monitors by Bosch to offer technological privilege for the hall. Integrated with the conference system, the cameras that automatically turn to any delegate taking the floor and images transmitted to monitors in front of delegates and LCD screens in four corners of the hall are widely appreciated. 150-seated press briefing hall is equipped with a 3x3 LCD video wall screen, and audio distribution panels and line array speakers for press members.
The hall is home not only to an extremely elegant architectural style but also to a spectacular view for the amazing Caspian sea. The ground floor of the facility houses two banquet halls designed to host ball and cocktail parties. One of the halls has 450 seats and can be separated into two parts. The other one is home to 250 seats. The halls are equipped with high-resolution movie projectors and engine-driven curtains to serve as a part of video systems. The cameras positioned inside the hall help viewing the hall from the control room and transmitting images to other halls. Situated on the ground floor, the VIP movie theater features a digital movie machine, a movie processor and amplifiers along with speakers of a 5+1 sound system. The fabric-coated interior design of the hall offers a compact and high-quality movie experience. All the halls and control rooms of the premises communicate by means of intercom systems. To this end, a total of 16 technical rooms are equipped with a 24-button digital intercom panel, and 14 freespeak beltpacks for wireless communication. The room where live broadcast vehicles would come near is decked out with hybrid, triax and fiber optic cabling in 28 spots of the premises for infrastructure purposes. Each junction panel is equipped with two or three hybrid and triax camera links and 8 core fiber optic end points. The cables for live broadcast infrastructure are provided by globally-acknowledged manufacturers. In addition, HD-SDI signals are transmitted from each hall by fiber optic. 40x40 video router helps exchanging images and sounds transmitted from halls and live broadcast vehicles.
The cabling system goes off the halls into this room in eight channels of analog audio cables, offering audio communication among the halls and between live broadcast vehicles and halls. This, for instance, provides all halls and live broadcast vehicles with images and videos of any activity in the 2000-seated multi-purpose hall. Data communication infrastructure of multimedia systems relies on professional systems independently of the building's IT system. The audio and video systems that require a high bandwidth is organized by Ateksis as it is no longer a burden on the building's IT system. To this end, the connection room for live broadcast vehicles is considered a hub, with fiber optic cable infrastructure in place among all control rooms.
